The Sacred Shrine Returns

Every year, when spring kisses the Himalayas, Lord Shiva returns to Tungnath.

At 3,680 meters, Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple on Earth — part of the Panch Kedar circuit.

Opening Date : May 10, 2025 The temple doors were ceremoniously opened after months of winter silence.

Devotees and priests trek with the Doli of Lord Shiva from Ukhimath to Tungnath. Chants of “Har Har Mahadev!” echo through the mountains.
